Mitsubishi Electric's Visual Information Systems, a leading manufacturer of high quality display solutions has introduced the new XD510U, an ultra portable XGA projector that features a new 6-segment colour wheel to improve colour performance, making it ideal for a number of applications within both business and educational establishments.

Mitsubishi's XD510U benefits from a combination of high contrast ratio 2000:1 and 2600 ANSI lumens of brightness, ensuring images are reproduced accurately and realistically even in ambient light.

Using BrillianColour Technologh (TM), the latest innovation to produce richer colours and deeper tones, Mitsubishi's 6-segment colour wheel has been developed to boost a wider colour spectrum by adding yellow and cyan segments to the usual red, green, blue and white segments. The addition of the yellow and cyan segments to the colour wheel, reduces the white segment portion of the range, ultimately improving the colour vibrancy of the spectrum.

The filter-free design makes the XD510U resistant to dust and dirt particles helping to ensure that consistently high quality imaes ar produced. The centre lens and comprehensive image geometry controls make this a versatile projector ideal for permanent installation or as a portable solution. The XD510U has also been designed with a top-access lamp cover for easy lamp replacement, and and benefits from a number of security features such as password protection and robust anchor bars.

A cost effective projector, the XD510U provides 4000 hours of lamp life when set inb eco mode to help keep overall running costs low, and benefits from an instant shut-down feture that allows users to quickly power down the projector after a presentation without causing damage to the projector lamp.
